Ironically, there seem to be fewer places where people can ask significant questions in a context of respectful, informed discussion. Perhaps you are looking for that kind of forum.
We are a faith community in Lexington committed to offering a venue where people of all backgrounds can explore the important heart matters of life. We do this through The Alpha Course. Each night at the Alpha Course, a question related to the intersection of Christianity and contemporary life is presented. Then conversation begins to flow. Groups stay together for several weeks, out of which strong new friendships often begin.

Alpha is about having a chance to find out who Jesus really is and how Christianity and real life fit together. You get to ask the tough questions and talk through the issues you've always thought about, in a place where your views are respected. It's also a great way to make new connections with people and eat some wonderful food!
While this course is primarily designed for pre-Christians, it is also open to anyone just wanting to brush up on their faith. Maybe you have some lingering questions about specific topics, or you're being asked those hard questions by a child or a co-worker, or maybe you want to check out the entire course for yourself before inviting a friend or family member to attend.
Whatever the case may be, this is an opportunity for anyone to explore the Christian faith in a relaxed, non-threatening setting over 10 thought-provoking weekly sessions. Using a meal, interesting talks and small groups, Alpha will enable our church to connect with people in a relevant way. As they relax, open up and ask questions, God's love and truth penetrates their heart.
